Players start their journey in Yukong Village as a novice cultivator in the Qi Refining stage, aiming to ascend to Tian Yuan Mountain for ultimate enlightenment. The game’s strongest differentiator is its dynamic NPC world, where characters live independently and can be influenced by player actions. This creates a rich narrative filled with choices, allowing players to collaborate with NPCs or become their adversary, significantly shaping the storyline.

Cultivation Mechanics and Spiritual Roots

Tale of Immortal emphasizes cultivation as an art, requiring deep understanding and access to cultivation venues. Players can specialize in various Spiritual Roots or master them all, affecting martial and spiritual skills development. The game offers a dozen manuals with unique characteristics, allowing players to establish schools of martial arts.
