GTFO, developed by 10 Chambers, is a cooperative first-person shooter built around strategic team play and high-stakes survival. Set in The Complex, a decayed research facility, players take on the roles of prisoners forced to complete Work Orders issued by The Warden. The game’s defining feature is The Rundown, a series of procedurally updated expeditions requiring tight coordination, resource management, and tactical combat to overcome the lurking horrors known as Sleepers.

The Rundown and Expedition Challenges

The Rundown structures GTFO’s missions, with each update introducing new expeditions that delve deeper into The Complex. Teams of four prisoners must carefully plan their loadouts, balancing weapons, gear, and boosters to address the unique threats found in each level. Failure is common, and success demands communication, adaptability, and precise execution.

Sleepers and Stealth Mechanics

Sleepers, the grotesque inhabitants of The Complex, remain dormant until disturbed by light, noise, or vibrations. Once alerted, they swarm as a unified threat. Teams must rely on stealth to avoid waking these creatures, but when detection occurs, heavy weaponry and kill zones become essential for survival.

Cosmetic Rewards and Progression

Completing expeditions and Rundowns grants cosmetic gear, allowing players to showcase their achievements. These rewards emphasize progression and provide visual proof of your team’s ability to endure GTFO’s punishing challenges.
