Barotrauma

Barotrauma is a 2D co-op survival horror submarine simulator developed by FakeFish. Set on Europa, a moon of Jupiter, the game offers a unique blend of ragdoll physics and alien sea monsters, demanding teamwork and strategic interaction with the environment. The most significant feature is the ability to create and customize your own submarines and monsters using built-in editors, allowing for extensive modding through the game's open source code and Steam Workshop.

Europa's Underwater Environment

Crew Roles and Specializations

Barotrauma features six distinct player classes: Captain, Engineer, Mechanic, Medic, Security Officer, and Assistant. Each class has a unique set of skills and tasks, with three specialization talent trees for customizing playstyles. Players can gain experience and unlock talents, improving their character's abilities to handle the submarine's complex systems.

The game's comprehensive crafting system allows players to gather materials and create equipment, weapons, and medicines.
