ICARUS

ICARUS, developed by RocketWerkz, is a premium PvE survival game set on Icarus, a terraformed planet now deemed humanity's greatest mistake. Players, acting as prospectors, drop from an orbital station to the planet's surface to explore, craft, and survive against a brutal environment. The game’s strongest feature is its expansive 64-square-kilometer terrain, filled with hidden caves and diverse biomes. This hand-crafted world allows for extensive resource mining and hunting, making preparation and planning crucial for survival. ICARUS offers both mission-based and persistent open-world modes for up to eight co-op players, with dedicated servers recommended for expansive sessions.

The Savage Wilderness of Icarus

Icarus presents a challenging environment where players must contend with toxic atmospheres, savage wildlife, apex predators, destructive storms, and forest fires. With every tree and rock being harvestable, players must plan meticulously to secure oxygen sources, hunt for food, and stockpile supplies for long journeys. Survival hinges on strategic resource management and adaptability to the planet’s volatile conditions, ensuring each session is a test of endurance and skill.

Diverse Game Modes

ICARUS offers three distinct gameplay modes: Open World, limited-time Missions, and creative Outposts. The Open World mode enables narrative quests through "Operations", allowing players to battle environmental hazards and predators while completing missions. Timed Missions require players to mine exotics and earn Ren, focusing on isolated tasks. Outposts provide a safe environment with regenerating resources, encouraging creative base building and experimentation without the harsh survival constraints.

Technology and Talent Development

Players can master three separate tech trees: planetary tech, player talents, and the orbital workshop. With over 100 talents across various specializations like exploring, building, and taming, players can tailor their characters to suit different survival strategies. The orbital workshop allows exchanging exotic matter for advanced tech, offering unique advantages for future drops. This progression system supports diverse gameplay styles and strategic planning, enhancing the survival experience on Icarus.
