EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6

EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6 is a third-person shooter developed by SANDLOT and the sequel to EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 5. Players take the role of an EDF soldier fighting alien life forms that have suddenly attacked Earth, destroying a large number of giant enemies. The game's strongest differentiator is its scale: it is the largest volume in the history of the series, with the largest number of missions and weapons ever included. All missions support online co-op play for up to four players, and players choose from four different soldier classes while fighting alongside real EDF members from across the country. The story begins in 2024 AD, after mankind defeated the invaders known as the Primers.

The Primers and the 2027 Setting

The sequel depicts the battle between the EDF and alien life forms that suddenly attacked Earth. In 2024 AD, mankind won the long battle against the unknown invaders, and the enemy Primers are now gone. Peace returned to Mother Earth, but the population had shrunk to 10%, and the world was on the verge of collapse. Survivors fought remaining threats while continuing recovery. Three years later, in 2027, the identity of the invader that has long tormented Earth is finally revealed. A chain of deep despair strikes a devastated world for the first time in the series.

EDF Soldier Classes and Four-Player Co-op

EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6 supports online co-op play, and all missions support online co-op for up to four players. Players take control of four different soldier classes and fight alongside real EDF members from across the country. The game is a third-person shooter in which players destroy a large number of giant enemies as an EDF soldier. Up to four players can coordinate across every mission, each choosing from the available soldier classes. This co-op structure applies to the full mission set, not a limited mode.

Series Volume and Weapon Count

EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6 is described as the largest volume in the history of the series. It includes the largest number of missions and weapons ever included. Players fight a large number of giant enemies as an EDF soldier, and the expanded weapon set supports that third-person shooter combat. The sequel to EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 5 continues the battle between the EDF and alien life forms that have suddenly attacked Earth. This larger mission count and weapon count form the game's primary scale differentiator.
