Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival is a first-person action horror survival game developed by Saber Interactive. It adds a new story to the Hellraiser canon, following Aidan as he uses the Genesis Configuration—a mysterious puzzle box—to rescue his girlfriend Sunny from the Labyrinth. Aidan must survive a bargain with Pinhead and fight the cult devoted to the Cenobites. The strongest differentiator is the Genesis Configuration itself: its hellish abilities pair with earthly weapons to inflict pain or pleasure on masochistic enemies. Players also face hell's wretches, deviants, cultists, and infernal priests. Combat centers on the Genesis Configuration and Aidan's bargain with Pinhead.

The Genesis Configuration and Earthly Weapons

Aidan wields the Genesis Configuration, a puzzle box whose unique, hellish abilities combine with an arsenal of earthly weapons. This dual toolkit lets players inflict bone-breaking, flesh-searing pain—or pleasure—upon masochistic enemies. The box is not a passive key: its powers are used directly in first-person action horror survival combat. Players must survive Aidan's bargain with Pinhead while deploying the Configuration against enemies. This combination is central to fighting through the game's threats. The Genesis Configuration therefore defines both the combat loop and the story's supernatural bargain.

Aidan, Sunny, and the Labyrinth

The story follows Aidan, whose girlfriend Sunny is trapped in the Labyrinth, an otherworldly hellscape. To help her escape, Aidan uses the Genesis Configuration. His actions unwittingly kickstart Pinhead's ritual to unleash greater pain and pleasure than ever before. The game is framed as a new chapter in the Hellraiser canon, with Saber Interactive developing the first-person action horror survival experience. Aidan's goal is rescue, but his bargain with Pinhead and the Cenobite cult complicates that path. The Labyrinth is where Sunny remains trapped.

Cult of the Cenobites and Infernal Priests

Enemies include hell's wretches, deviants, cultists, and infernal priests. Aidan does battle with the cult devoted to the Cenobites, and Pinhead stands as the infamous figure behind the bargain. Hell's most infernal priests join the threats, placing cultists alongside supernatural enemies in a story-driven horror survival game. Combat is fought with the Genesis Configuration and earthly weapons. The cult's purpose connects to Pinhead's ritual, which Aidan unintentionally starts. These enemy types define the opposition across the Labyrinth and its cult.
