Abiotic Factor is a multiplayer survival crafting game by Deep Field Games, set in the secretive research labs of GATE after a catastrophic containment breach. Mixing 90s sci-fi aesthetics with character progression, it challenges up to six players to survive against transdimensional foes and paranormal anomalies while scavenging, crafting, and building a new base of operations deep underground.

The sprawling GATE facility serves as both your battleground and refuge. Anomalous entities, gravity-distorting artifacts, and invading forces from other dimensions roam its halls, while The Order, a shadowy military sect, indiscriminately escalates the chaos. Navigating this dangerous environment requires resourcefulness, as players scavenge abandoned labs and offices for survival materials.

Scientific Crafting and Ingenious Tools

As scientists, combat prowess isn’t your strength, but your ingenuity is. Use your PhD to craft everything from wooden bats to laser cannons and advanced traps. The crafting system rewards experimentation, letting players turn mundane office supplies into essential survival tools. Collaboration with fellow scientists is key to outsmarting enemies and overcoming escalating threats.

Customizable Scientists and Progression

Players can tailor their characters through PhD specializations like Phytogenetic Botanist or Archotechnic Consultant, each offering unique skills and advantages. Leveling up unlocks perks and abilities, allowing teams to combine strengths into a formidable scientific unit capable of tackling the facility’s many challenges—both within its subterranean depths and in the otherworldly realms beyond.
